Client Request: Eliminate belt-to-board slippage, eliminate belt-to-drum slippage and increase machine production speeds by 100 feet per minute. Solution: Original machine design required a redesign of the traction section including the main drive unit. Profero Systems® replaced the original traction section completely with a new high-density, soft-covered roll system, and also provided a new main drive unit. Additionally, Profero Systems® replaced the existing plate type ballast system with the Thermo Bar® design ballast system over the heating section. Results: Slippage problems have been completely eliminated. Production speeds have increased by 200 feet per minute across the board of production runs.
